Banque Bonhôte takes over bank Private Client Partners in Zurich!

Banque Bonhôte & Cie SA continues its solid expansion in French- and German-speaking Switzerland with the acquisition of the Zurich based private bank, Private Client Partners AG (PCP) from M.M.Warburg & CO. PCP Bank, established in 1998, specialises in family office services for Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI), providing administration, asset consolidation and wealth management services to its Swiss and international clients.

Private Client Partners becomes a subsidiary of Banque Bonhôte and retains its own identity. It has a substantial client base with CHF 1.9 billion under management and CHF 5.6 billion of consolidated assets.

According to Jean Berthoud, Chairman of Banque Bonhôte: “Our goals to actively participate in the consolidation of the Swiss banking industry has become a reality. This transaction places us in the category of banks with CHF 5 to 10 billion under management. It allows us to establish ourselves in the centre of Zurich by the River Limmat. In terms of both its location and the nature of its services, this entity is exactly what we have been looking to acquire in order to enhance our service offering for our UHNW clients”.

Andreas Bodenmann, the founder of Private Client Partners, continues to play an active role with clients. Beat Widmer (lic.oec HSG CFA), a longstanding acquaintance of Banque Bonhôte, will head the subsidiary and its fifteen experienced staff.

The services of the new subsidiary will also gradually be developed out of Neuchâtel, where they will be offered to the Bank existing and prospective international and French-speaking clients.

Since its foundation in Neuchâtel in 1815, Banque Bonhôte has developed successfully by following its clients to several regions of Switzerland. After establishing branches in Biel/Bienne, Berne, Solothurn, Lausanne and Geneva, the bank is pleased to announce the opening of a new branch in Zurich. This medium-sized institution has more than 100 employees and is specialized in asset management.

Banque Bonhôte is thus delighted with the expansion of its offering and the general development of its business.
