René Morgenthaler joins Banque Bonhôte & Cie SA in Neuchâtel as head of discretionary management for private and institutional clients.
An enthusiastic investment specialist with over 30 years’ experience in the field of wealth management, René Morgenthaler took over as head of discretionary management at Banque Bonhôte on 1 December 2017.
Formerly CIO at Royal Bank of Canada in Geneva, he began his career as a currency trader and then as head of securities dealing at Merrill Lynch Bank Suisse SA, also in Geneva. He has broad-based expertise in all the asset classes and has headed wealth management teams in a number of financial institutions.
Mr Morgenthaler was born in the Canton of Bern and, after working for North American and British banks in Geneva, returned to his native area to join an institution operating locally.
In the words of the Bank’s CEO, Yves de Montmollin, “We at Banque Bonhôte are delighted to have René Morgenthaler among us. He brings tremendous expertise to our core business of discretionary wealth management.”
The Bonhôte group, founded in 1815 and headquartered in Neuchâtel with branches in Biel, Geneva, Bern and Lausanne, is pleased with this new step in its business development.
